Welcome to Narima - the eco-chic bungalow resort, set amongst the coconut palms and rainforest trees of its own private bay.

We are located near the National Marine Park on the unspoilt south coast of the beautiful, tropical island of Ko Lanta in southern Thailand.

Understated, natural luxury, tranquil rainforest surroundings and the charming personal service of your hosts, Dr. Nopawan and Dr. Yodchai Jotiban, combine to make this somewhere we hope you'll feel immediately at home, and want to return to, time and time again.

Our focus is on your enjoyment. The owners and staff are discretely at your disposal to make your stay a thoroughly pleasant one.

Enjoy sunbathing on our beach, take a stroll in the rainforest, explore the island, scuba dive or snorkel in the pristine aquamarine water or just relax in a stunning, natural setting.

The large grounds of Narima can be found on an unspoiled section of Ko Lanta's rugged coastline with sea views of distant tropical islands.

Our thirty-two, architect designed bungalows are set amongst the natural rain forest that has been growing on this island for thousands of years. It is still a lush, green haven for plants and animals.

As you wander through the grounds of the resort, you'll see many kinds of tropical flowers, plants and orchids.

Our small piece of jungle is also home to many kinds of fascinating wildlife such as sea eagles, kestrels, herons and other birds, butterflies, monitor lizards and even the odd inquisitive monkey! You can see elephants wandering past the resort on their way to work each morning.

The resort has a large 3-tiered swimming pool. The highest level is a jacuzzi spa pool - great for enjoying the sunset with a cocktail.

The large main pool has an infinity view out to sea and onto the horizon. There is a wide step the length of the pool, which is perfect for reading a book on. The lower level has a small, shallow children's pool.

All our buildings have been designed to the highest standards by one of Thailand's best architects, and use natural materials that blend well into the quiet secluded setting.

We invite you to come and share a little piece of our island dream.

A warm welcome and personal service awaits you.

We offer you secluded privacy and stylish luxury in one of our thirty-two, architect designed, bungalows. They are set within our beautiful, wild, jungle-gardens.

Each bungalow has breathtaking sea views of distant tropical islands, with a perfect sunset that can be viewed from your private balcony every evening.

The bungalows have both a ceiling fan and air conditioning, a large double bed (22 rooms have an additional large single bed), fully stocked minibar, white-tiled hot shower and western-standard bathroom.

Furnishings are simple in construction and fittings are made from warm natural materials. The bungalows have a spacious, airy feel, with linen drapes on the ceiling and large French windows, which open onto your private roofed balcony, overlooking the Andaman Sea.

The balcony has a 2-person hammock and Thai style reclining chairs made from sugar palm fronds. There are sliding mosquito mesh screens that can be closed during the evening if you want to leave the French windows open.

Your minibar is restocked daily with a choice of beers, soft drinks, two complementary (refillable) bottles of fresh drinking water, yogurt drinks and selection of chocolate.

The chocolate made an appearance after Dr. Nopawan discovered a passion for late-night chocolate after one of her guests introduced her to it one evening.

Modern bathrooms are private but open air in traditional Thai style, with hot shower and western toilets. The large mirror is hand decorated with shells, some of which can be found on Narima's beach.

Water in your bathroom comes direct from the mountain streams on Lanta and is purified by Narima's own water purification system. This water is fresh, clean and pure enough for you to brush your teeth with.

Narimas large, airy restaurant provides the central focus of your stay here.

With its breathtaking, high-ceiling, traditional Thai grass-woven roof, stunning views over Narimas private bay and hand carved wooden furniture, it is a place to relax and read a book as much as somewhere to sample some of Thailands fabulous cuisine.

Guests congregate here to socialise, enjoy the cool breeze rolling in from the sea during the evenings, drink cocktails, and of course, to tuck into the fantastic array of Thai and European food, creatively prepared by Narimas professionally trained chefs.

The menu offers a wonderful variety of food, from light snacks and salads, to a full à la Carte menu.

Narima's state-of-the-art kitchen is impressive and can be seen through large windows from the restaurant. It's reassuring to look at the endless counters of gleamingly clean stainless steel and see your food being prepared freshly as you order.

Most Thai dishes only take a few minutes to prepare, so you never have to wait long for a steaming, tasty dish to be set before you.

Only the freshest local ingredients are used to prepare your food. Many dishes can be altered to suit your taste and we have a large range of vegetarian dishes on our menu.

A trip to Ko Lanta is not complete without sampling some of the delicious, fresh seafood that is on offer. We visit the fisherman's market each day to buy the freshest ingredients.

The restaurant is filled with a fantastic collection of rustic wooden furniture. It comes from the northern provinces of Thailand and is made from re-claimed and recycled heavy wood, such as - old cart-wheels and railway sleepers. Some items are made from whole trees.

Yodchai's impressive DVD and CD collection is housed in a huge cupboard made from a whole tree trunk. There are well over 300 movies to choose from which you can watch on the huge communal TV in the restaurant.

Our philosophy at Narima is to try to enable you to do whatever you like, so if you require a service not listed here, please ask and we will do our best to organise it for you.

Swimming Pool & Whirlpool Tub

Our terraced swimming pool is on three levels, with sundecks overlooking the beach.

On the highest level we have a jacuzzi whirlpool tub with a large seat and great views of the ocean and beach. The main pool gently slopes to a maximum depth of 1.8m. The child pool is at a lower level just off the beach.

The pools are filled with sweet, fresh, water from Lanta's mountain springs, which is filtered by Narima's own water filtration system, and then gently chlorinated.

The large main pool has an infinity view out to sea and onto the horizon. There is a wide step the length of the pool, which is perfect for reading a book on. The lower level has a small, shallow children's pool.

Thai Massage

Narimas professionally trained masseuse offers traditional Thai massage or Spa (oil) massage.

A traditional Thai massage lasts one hour and can be given wherever you desire - on the beach, in our massage room, or in the comfort of your own bungalow. Thai massage concentrates on your body's pressure points to release tension.

Spa massages also last one hour and are conducted in our dedicated massage room. We use the very best essential oils made from 100% natural ingredients to relax, invigorate or soothe fatigued muscles.
