We are a Thai owned and run, traditional and elegant, thai-style resort, located in the south of Ko Lanta in Kantiang Bay.

Our 15 luxury bungalows feature all the elegance of Thai tradition and culture and nestle within an acre of lush landscaped gardens. Each bungalow offers stunning views of the white crested waves of the Andaman Sea and, at night, you can gaze at the stars from your private balcony or as you take a stroll along the beach. All our bungalows are en-suite and embody the charm and elegance of classical Thai interiors; traditional handy-crafts, rich textiles and delicately carved wooden furnishings.

Deluxe Pool Villa

Our 10 luxury Deluxe Pool Villa Bungalows are located slightly higher up the hill, and are arranged around the swimming pool. The bungalows are set within the natural palm trees that cover the hill, and the gardens around the bungalows have been landscaped to include many brightly coloured tropical flowers and plants. Each bungalow has a spacious balcony that overlooks the pool area, and the beach is only a flight of wooden steps away.

Restaurant

Baan Laanta’s Bay Front Restaurant offers stunning views over Kantiang Bay and has a truly amazing seafood BBQ every evening serving the largest, fresh prawns you’ve ever seen! Choose from a selection of locally caught fish and seafood that is cooked to your specifications right in front of you. Our fresh seafood is supplied by local fisherman who’s daily catch is delivered directly from their longtail boats to our restaurant, ensuring you get really fresh fish and seafood from the Andaman Sea, everyday.

The Bay Front restaurant is open daily from 7:00am – 22:00pm serving a wide selection of delicious Thai dishes and variety of popular Western, Indian and Malay dishes. Dine in style overlooking the magnificent crescent-shaped curve of Kantiang Beach. To compliment your meal, choose from a variety of imported wines, champagne and popular local drinks. There is usually a fireshow on the beach to supply an exciting backdrop to your meal.

Aqua Bar

Overlooking the beautiful bay, Aqua Bar serves a selection of fresh fruity cocktails, wines and local & imported beer.

The relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and chilled music make this one of the most popular bars on the beach to enjoy a sundowner before a stroll along the beach to enjoy the sunset’s Ko Lanta is famous for.

The Aqua Bar is open daily from noon until midnight. Built in classic, wooden, Thai-beach-hut style with trashed grass-roof, this quaint bar overlooks the beach and is a shady oasis from the heat of the sun. Seating is provided in the form of bar stools or lounge-styled chairs. There is also a wooden deck area with cushions to relax on.

Aqua Bar’s specialty is an exotic mix of fresh, tropical fruit cocktails. The extraordinarily refreshing Lime Daiquiris and Strawberry Margaritas are among the house favorites.

Baan Spa

Swimming Pool

Baan Laanta’s swimming pool and shallow children’s pool can be found in a shady area with elevated views out over the bay. Take a dip in the cool brown-tiled pool that has become somewhat of an attraction in itself at the resort.

The pool is situated on an upper level with views out across the bay. There are sun loungers and cool shower provided for you.

The dive centre uses the pool in the afternoons to conduct training for their student divers. If you would like to try diving in the pool, we offer a free trail dive in the pool to all our guests. Please contact the dive centre for further information.

Kantiang Beach

Kantiang Beach is home to a small and friendly community of restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels, shops and a dive centre. A stroll along the beach at any time during the day is a relaxed affair and your holiday is not complete without viewing the stunning sunsets that the west coast of Ko Lanta is famous for.

With some of the best dive sites in Thailand, and the World, located within easy reach of Ko Lanta, Baan Laanta’s PADI Dive Centre ‘Scubafish’ is an ideal place to dive from whether you’re starting out, fun diving or continuing your diving education.

Scubafish offers you a relaxed and safe environment from which to dive. We offer the full range of PADI Scuba Diving courses, using the latest multi-media learning resources. You’ll receive expert supervision and guidance from our team of PADI professionals. You can expect a relaxed and personal service both above and below the water.

We are an approved Mares Dive Centre and, both our dive boat & equipment is of the highest standard. Scubafish’s experienced dive team has a wealth of local underwater knowledge built up through thousands of dives in this area. Our love of diving, combined with our personal teaching methods mean that we offer rewarding dives, regardless of your experience. The idyllic and peaceful surroundings make Scubafish the perfect place to dive, whether you are diving for the first time, or you are an experienced diver already.

The dive season runs from mid-late October to the end of April, and we run daily trips throughout this period. Please contact us if you would like to dive during the low season. Although our dive centre is closed during the low season, it may be possible to arrange a trip for you.
