Founded and privately owned by two sisters that grew up on Koh Pha Ngan, Chantaramas Resort & Spa is inspired by Thai architecture and décor, island culture and the nostalgia of a family upbringing on the island.

 

 

Each of the well-spaced 51 villas in this low density development is sensitively etched into the gently sloping terrain around a central lawn. Villas are cocooned in lush tropical foliage and more than half of the property is dedicated to tropical gardens, creating a luxurious natural sanctuary with a delicious sense of seclusion.

 

 

The name Chantaramas means golden moon and the resorts contemporary décor is anchored by lunar motifs. Crescent-shaped seating curves around the reception area, and crescent moon-shaped door handles adorn every door. Even pavilions placed at outdoor walkway intersections are open at the apex to the moonlight.

 

 

Deluxe Room

Simply yet elegantly furnished with dark wooden furnishings, deluxe rooms emphasize uncluttered luxury with uninterrupted ocean or garden views. A goose down-filled super king size bed takes pride of place in the master bedroom, separated from the spacious adjoining bathroom which features a stone sink, stone vanity amenities and a square tub by floor to ceiling glass windows to accentuate the sense of light and space.

Each Deluxe Room incorporates a spacious adjoining private terrace. Rooms on the lower level have an outdoor shower. Deluxe Rooms range from 52 to 69 square meters and additional beds can be added on request.

A Thai chef specializing in fusion cusine

Nokveedz has nurtured a passion bordering on obsession for the culinary arts from a young age. She was raised on a mixed gastronomy featuring the cuisine of both Western and Asian continents, and after studying international cuisine at the City and Guilds of London Institute, graduated top in her class. Since starting her career ten years ago, Nokveedz has worked in some top restaurants and and alongside three Michelin starred chef, Yves Mattagne and famed hotelier consultant Fabrice de Barsy before returning to her homeland three years ago. Nokveedz is particularly specialized in the art of balancing herbs and spices with perfect complexity, and combining her Aasian heritage and expertise in nouvelle gastronomic techniques.

The Moon Deck is a relaxed bar overlooking the secluded bay below. Unwind over Thai- style tapas and dishes with a Mediterranean and Australian influence and refreshing drinks and cocktails as our DJ sets the mood with blissed-out global grooves.

Fronted by more than 100 meters of private beach and shallow water with jaw-dropping views of Koh Samui, Chantaramas Resort & Spa is a laidback, chic escape that brings together the richness of the islands cultural heritage and authentic Thai hospitality.

Koh Phangan is 3 1/2 hours from Surat Thani Province and 30 minutes from Koh Samui by boat. The easiest way from Bangkok is to buy a flight to Koh Samui and take a boat to Koh Phangan.
